Forty-nine years after the 1977 earthquake, the Natural Disaster Insurance Pool organized the opening of the 'ReExpoziția' exhibition.

On Wednesday, March 4, the Natural Disaster Insurance Pool hosted the opening of the fifth edition of "ReExpoziția" at Artmark—a photography competition dedicated to raising awareness about the impact of natural disasters on homes and communities in Romania.

The event, held exactly 49 years after the earthquake of March 4, 1977, brought together representatives from public authorities, institutions involved in disaster risk management, and the insurance sector, alongside the winners of this year's competition.

The Natural Disaster Insurance Pool (PAID) organized, on September 4, 2025, the annual event dedicated to partners in the home insurance industry.

Held under the slogan “United by the same responsibility”, the event brought together representatives of the insurance industry and central and local authorities, in a dialogue about the role of collaboration in strengthening the financial protection system for homes in Romania.

The meeting was an opportunity to reconfirm the directions that underlie PAID’s activity: the financial stability of the mechanism, the ability to provide rapid compensation and the constant need to inform and raise awareness of the population, with a clear message — preparation makes the difference when risks arise.

PAID opened its fourth photographic exhibition on the theme of natural disasters, 48 years after the 1977 earthquake

The Natural Disaster Insurance Pool (PAID) organized the opening of the fourth edition of the “ReExpoziția” photography competition on Tuesday, March 4, at the Artmark Gallery in Bucharest. The event marks 48 years since the devastating 1977 earthquake and is part of a broader campaign to raise awareness of the importance of financial protection for homes. The winners of the competition, jury members, institutional partners and representatives of the press participated in the inaugural celebration.

PAID, 15 years of financial protection for insured homes

The Natural Disaster Insurance Pool (PAID) organized on September 25, 2024, the annual event dedicated to partners in the home insurance industry. Under the slogan "Evolution 15", PAID marked 15 years of activity and financial protection for housing insured against earthquakes, floods and landslides.

The event provided a brief x-ray of the evolution and successes of the PAID company, including the reinsurance program of 1.3 billion euros, the application for ascertaining and self-assessment of damages, the integration of the policy on the governmental platform gișeul.ro, the realization of the first public interest spot on the topic of mandatory home insurance or the access platform for town halls to the database of insured homes.

September 2023 'The era of simplified processes'

PAID Romania hosted on September 7, 2023, its annual event that brings together representatives of the insurance industry, institutions and organizations in the field, as well as other strategic partners of PAID. This edition of the conference took place under the banner "The era of simplified processes", the focus being on PAID Romania's efforts to reduce the complexity of PAD policy purchase and compensation processes, innovation, but also digitization on this segment.

Vernisaj „ReExpoziția” 2023

Pool-ul de Asigurare Împotriva Dezastrelor Naturale (PAID) a inaugurat ce-a dea doua
ediție a „ReExpoziția”, competiție fotografică pe tema dezastrelor naturale care afectează
locuințele. Vernisajul a avut loc joi, 2 martie, la Casa Ion Mincu din București, exponatele
fiind disponibile pentru vizitare până pe 4 martie, la împlinirea a 46 de ani de la cutremurul
care a devastat România. Expoziția face parte dintr-o amplă campanie de conștientizare și de
sensibilizare a publicului în ceea ce privește caracterul repetitiv al dezastrelor naturale și
importanța asigurării locuințelor împotriva acestora.

„Sub impactul emoțional al cutremurelor din ultima lună, românii manifestă mai mult interes
pentru asigurarea celui mai de preț bun - locuința. În online și offline, cei mai mulți vorbesc
despre dezastre naturale și despre cum putem să ne pregătim. Dar nu este suficient.
Cataclismele lovesc mai ales atunci când nimeni nu se așteaptă, în locuri în care nimeni nu
anticipează. Despre asta este ReExpoziția, despre trezirea conștiinței asupra faptului că dacă
nu putem preîntâmpina dezastrele naturale, măcar să fim atât cât putem de pregătiți. Ține de
fiecare dintre noi să alegem, la timp, soluția care ne poate ajuta să trecem ceva mai ușor
peste drama pierderii locuinței. Noi, la PAID, suntem pregătiți să reconstruim împreună”, a
explicat Nicoleta Radu, Director General PAID.
